Jeffery Sapoznik credits his education from The
Soma Institute for enabling him to land his dream job at the renowned
San Francisco Preventive Medical Group MediSpa, an internationally
recognized preventive health facility.
Jeffery first learned about his dream career opportunity in 2003 when The Preventive Medical Group started to expand their already successful medical practice. The Group began searching for a massage therapist who could work hand-in-hand with doctors to develop a new set of holistic offerings. Armed with his clinical massage therapy education in from The Soma Institute, Jeffery believed he was the perfect candidate for the position. It wasn't long before The Preventive Medical Group agreed.
The result was the new MediSpa - a separate practice within the Medical Group that Jeffery now oversees. The MediSpa specializes in energy work, holistic healing, and clinical massage therapy.
Under Jeffery's guidance, the MediSpa has begun using clinical massage treatments for patients with dysfunctions caused by cancer, HIV, MS and other degenerative conditions. In his current position, Jeffery works to broaden the medical industry's acceptance of clinical massage therapy as a complementary medical treatment, explaining, "I am witness to the myriad of health benefits that people experience both during and after a session. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to facilitate such profound healing experiences."
