The Soma Institute-National School of Clinical Massage Therapy is developing itspresence within the high school arena. Soma has researched and selected over 70 target high schools in the Chicagoland area to be developed by the High School Recruiter. Jodi Stipes, who has recently been hired for the position, will spearhead the Soma High School Recruiting Campaign this September, 2010.

Jodi is originally from the Chicagoland area. She has worked as a high school teacher since she graduated college and changed the direction of her career towards the Admissions side. This position demands a recruiter who can engage adolescents within the chosen high schools, maintain communication with all constituents within each high school, and ensure that the Soma brand is adequately established throughout Chicago’s high schools. Soma is excited to have Jodi develop this position and bring more awareness to what Soma can offer through their clinical massage therapy program.

“I am excited about the opportunity to help inform high school students of the rewarding program that the Soma Institute offers,” states Jodi. “I hope to educate them about the numerous career options that will be available to them upon completion of the program. A large number of high school students are unaware of this and are only educated on universities and community colleges. It is my goal to help change this.”
