As physical and mental wellness become increasing priorities
among the aging U.S. population, more and more people are pursuing
the therapeutic benefits of massage therapy. There is a wide array
of notable statistics to document this upward trend:
- According to the U.S. Department of Labor, employment for massage therapists is expected to increase 20% between 2006 and 2016 – faster, on average, than all other occupations.1
- Massage therapy is an almost $11 billion dollar industry.2
- Between August 2006 and June 2007, approximately 24% of adult Americans received massage therapy at least once.3
